Craft Room

It’s finally happening!!! I am finally starting my very own craft room! In our backyard we have this awesome shed space. Not one of those sheds you can buy at Home Depot and just plop anywhere you want. This one was definitely built for the house. It sits on a two inch concrete platform which basically saved all of the wood from rotting. I can’t believe the condition all of the wood is in. This past weekend my goal was to take out the ceiling. I really want the beams that support the roof to be exposed – it will open up the space so much and I really love how vaulted ceilings with exposed beams look. Here is what it looked like at the beginning of the destruction process:

Upon demolishing the ceiling we found some antiques…

Day one accomplishment!

We will also take out the cross beams, but we were too hungry to continue for the day. The roof beams are seriously perfect! Once we replace the roof we can replace the black paper lining with wood planks to really complete the look. Of course I have already been looking at ideas for the completed look, and here are a few looks at what I am leaning towards.

Love this style!

This type of door would be perfect! Just cut the one that is currently there in half, right?

Love how clean this looks!

I am so happy to have started on this!

PS, don’t worry, the bathroom window will go in within the next week!
